This Privacy Policy describes how Goofy Guy Games ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you play SoftPop (the "Game") on Android and iOS platforms.
1. Information we collect
We may collect the following types of information:
a) Personal information
- Email address (if you contact support)
- Account identifiers associated with Google Play Games or Apple Game Center
- Unity Authentication player identifier when you sign in or complete the legal consent flow
- Your Unity leaderboard player name when optional gameplay analytics are enabled
b) Automatically collected information
- Device information (device model, operating system, language, region)
- Advertising identifiers (such as Google Advertising ID or Apple IDFA)
- IP address (used for approximate location and fraud prevention)
- Crash logs and diagnostic data
c) Gameplay & analytics data
- Game mode, score, accuracy, progression, virtual-currency activity, and settings
- Session and run timing, aggregated gameplay counters, and feature interactions
- Ad and in-app purchase outcomes, excluding payment card details
- Notification permission status and whether you opened a daily-login or comeback reminder
- App version, platform, operating system, language, and region
Gameplay analytics are optional. The Game asks whether you want to share anonymous gameplay analytics, and the same preference is available in Settings. If enabled, events are cached on your device and sent in batches when the Game opens, when a run ends, or when a session is ending. If disabled, queued analytics are deleted and no new gameplay analytics are retained or sent through this system.
Notification analytics do not include notification titles or message text, advertising identifiers, or standalone device identifiers. Notification permission is controlled by your operating system, and local reminders continue to function independently of the optional analytics preference.
We use a one-way keyed transformation of the Unity Authentication player identifier to create a pseudonymous analytics identifier. Our analytics database does not store the underlying Unity Authentication player identifier. It does store your current leaderboard player name with that pseudonymous identifier so authorized administrators can locate your gameplay records and respond to support or privacy requests.

3. Ads and in-app purchases
SoftPop includes in-app purchases and advertisements.
Ads may be provided by:
- Google AdMob / Google Ad Manager
- Unity Ads
- ironSource
- Amazon Publisher Services (APS)
These partners may collect advertising identifiers and usage data to provide personalized or contextual ads in accordance with their own privacy policies.
Purchases are processed directly by platform providers (Google Play or Apple App Store). We do not receive or store payment card details.
4. Data sharing
We may share data with:
- Cloud infrastructure providers that relay and store our first-party analytics (Unity Technologies and Cloudflare)
- Advertising partners listed above
- Platform providers (Google, Apple)
- Service providers acting on our behalf
- Authorities if required by law
We do not sell personal information.
5. Children’s privacy (Mixed Audience)
SoftPop is a mixed-audience game. It is not directed specifically at children under the age of 13, but we recognize that individuals under 13 may use the Game.
Before accessing gameplay features, users must confirm that:
- They are 13 years of age or older, OR
- They have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without appropriate permission.
If we become aware that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected without proper authorization, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

6. EU / EEA & GDPR consent
For users located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or other regions requiring consent:
SoftPop uses industry-standard consent mechanisms provided by advertising and analytics partners to request user permission before:
- Accessing advertising identifiers
- Delivering personalized ads
- Sharing data for advertising purposes
Where required by law, data processing occurs only after valid user consent has been obtained.
Optional gameplay analytics are processed only after you enable the analytics preference. You may withdraw that choice at any time in the Game's Settings.
Users may change advertising preferences through:
- Device privacy settings
- Resetting advertising identifiers
- Platform-specific privacy controls
Legal bases for processing may include user consent, performance of a contract, legal obligations, and legitimate interests such as fraud prevention and security.
7. California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you may have the right to:
- Request access to personal information collected
- Request deletion of personal information
- Opt out of certain data sharing
- Receive equal service regardless of exercising privacy rights

8. Data storage and processing
Goofy Guy Games operates a first-party analytics service using managed cloud infrastructure. Optional analytics are authenticated and relayed through Unity Cloud Code, pseudonymized, and stored in a Cloudflare D1 database for reporting.
Data collected through the Game may also be processed and stored by trusted service providers, including:
- Unity Technologies (advertising, authentication, Cloud Code, and leaderboards)
- Cloudflare (website, API, and first-party analytics database hosting)
- Google (Google Play services and advertising services)
- Apple (App Store services and Game Center)
- Advertising and mediation partners
Goofy Guy Games acts as a data controller, while these third-party providers act as data processors on our behalf.
We do not maintain standalone databases of player emails or payment card details for SoftPop users. We maintain the pseudonymous analytics database described above and an append-only legal acceptance audit trail, including the consent subject identifier, accepted policy bundle version/hash, and the Unity Authentication player identifier when provided for legal recordkeeping and dispute resolution.
9. Data retention
Detailed first-party analytics events are retained for up to 12 months. Upload receipt records used for deduplication are retained for up to 30 days. Aggregated daily trend data may be retained longer because it no longer contains individual event histories. Legal acceptance records and records needed for legal, fraud-prevention, or dispute purposes may be retained as required. Other service providers retain data according to their own policies.
You may request access to or deletion of analytics associated with your pseudonymous player identity by contacting support@goofyguy.games.
10. Data security
We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information. However, no system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
11. Google Play & App Store data disclosure
In accordance with platform transparency requirements, SoftPop may collect and share the following categories of data:
Collected: device identifiers, IP address, gameplay analytics, crash logs, in-app purchase confirmations, and leaderboard identifiers.
Shared with: analytics providers, advertising networks, and platform providers.
Purpose: game functionality, advertising, purchases, performance measurement, and security/fraud prevention.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Game constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
